» The chemicals used in many paints and paint products are harmful. We use water-based enamels in our hand-painted finishes. This eliminates the need for solvent and chemical cleaning equipment, and makes disposal safer.

» We encourage the use of plantation-grown hoop pine in our projects. Hoop pine is a sustainable source of timber that needs no chemical processing and, once hand painted, is durable and easily maintained.

» Our cabinets are designed to be long-lasting, easy to maintain, and adaptable. Initial outlay may be higher, but longer term, where disposable cabinets would need replacing, the savings to the client and the benefits to the environment are substantial. We take the same approach to appliances, only recommending proven energy-efficient brands of the highest quality.

Good design and interior selections are also vital for sustainability. We make full use of natural light to reduce energy demand and offer selections with a ‘timeless’ quality that extend a project’s life far beyond the typical replacement date.
